How do you keep thousands of curious people at a safe distance from a spectacular construction operation? Instead of keeping the public away, we invited everyone in – digitally! With the ‘100 hours of Hooipolder,’ we turned 100 hours of traffic disruption into a public-friendly and entertaining live event that not only ensures safety but also creates involvement and strengthens trust in our public infrastructure.
A live blog, social stories, livestream, and real-time interaction formed a digital content marathon that allowed the public to watch along and empathize. Without a media budget, but with around 740,000 views of the live blog, national media attention, and thousands of positive reactions. The ‘100 hours of Hooipolder’ is proof that content marketing can even bring concrete to life!
This has also been appreciated by the esteemed juries of the European Excellence Awards, the Influencer & Content Marketing Awards, and the Grand Prix Content Marketing. Together with our clients Rijkswaterstaat and construction combination ALSÉÉN, we have been nominated 7 times for these prestigious industry awards. At the European Excellence Awards, we are in the running in the categories of Western Europe, Live & Brand Events, and Government Agencies & Parties. At the Influencer & Content Marketing Awards, we are competing in the categories of Non-profit Content Marketing, Best Blog Series, and Best Organic Conversion in Distribution. And at the Grand Prix Content Marketing, we are vying for an award in the Campaign category. The winners will be announced in November.
